Thanksgiving Baskets

UUCR will once again be teaming up with Community Reach of Montgomery County to provide Thanksgiving Baskets and Giant grocery cards for our neighbors in need!

If you, your family, your neighborhood, your book group, 

your social justice group (you get the picture!) would like to put together a basket, 

please contact Dolores Barnes with the Hunger Task Group. 

Completed baskets (think laundry or box with handles) can be dropped off at UUCR on Sunday, Nov. 10th and Sunday, Nov. 17th.  Arrangements can also be made for a drop off or pick up between November 7th-21st by contacting Dolores. Completed baskets will be distributed to Community Reach on Friday, November 22nd (This is the week BEFORE Thanksgiving).

A collection bucket will also be placed near the Sanctuary if you would like to drop off individual items in person over the next few weeks.

• If you would like, you may donate a $30.00 Giant gift card through REALM, or mail a check to UUCR with a note that says, "Thanksgiving Basket Grocery Cards." Cards will be purchased in $30.00 increments to help clients buy a turkey or other needed food items.
