Hope Is In This House

May 5th at 10:30 a.m. Eastern

On this Mental Health Awareness Sunday, we will hear stories about living with mental health challenges, whether it is one’s own journey or supporting a loved one. Almost everyone’s life is touched by mental illness. And there is hope when we give love and support to each other.

Note: Please know that death by suicide will be mentioned, as well as other complex topics. We encourage attendees to take care of themselves. Members of the pastoral care team will be present.

Tiaras and Tophats Sunday

May 12th at 10:30 a.m. Eastern

On this festive day, we celebrate the many paths we journey in spiritual community by donning our most festive and sparkly tiaras and tophats. Everyone has sparkle in their soul, somewhere - and if that lights dwindles, we need each other to share their strength, hope and resilience until our own rebounds. Make, buy or borrow your own tiara or tophat - no judgement here. Just love and acceptance towards spiritual growth. With special musical guests, "Potomac Fever", one of the Gay Men's Choir of Washington's musical ensembles.

Access the Homily from this service on our YouTube Channel.

The Gifts of Pluralism

May 19th at 10:30 a.m. Eastern

Rev. Forest Church preached about the Cathedral of the World, where there are many lights and one window. While pluralism may not be easy, there are many gifts to receive when we expand our circle of understanding to include other's as well. How is pluralism inviting us towards a deeper, more rich covenant?

Legacy Sunday

May 26th at 10:30 a.m.

Each year, we remember our beloveds who have crossed over to the other side of life and honor their presence amongst us. We also recognize UUCR congregants that have been welcomed into the Legacy Society, and have included UUCR in their estate planning, ensuring a strong future for the congregation. Both traditions call to mind how we can live as good ancestors in our lives, today.
