Kirk Freeman is a Master of Divinity student at Wesley Theological Seminary and is discerning a call to ordained Unitarian Universalist ministry. Kirk previously worked for fifteen years in politics, first as a congressional staffer and then as a government relations executive. He lives in Washington, DC, with his wife, Betsy, who is passionate about her work as a postpartum doula and OWL-trained comprehensive sexuality educator. Together they parent two elementary school-aged children. Kirk looks forward to being in community with the people of UUCR and supporting the congregation’s mission to practice creative love. He joined UUCR as a Ministerial Intern on September 1, 2020.
